Referring to the vg30dett as a "technological dinosaur" doesn't exactly denote him as a Z32 enthusiast, which he already agreed he "likes cars that go fast". To me, this is not an enthusiast, this is the guy I see on CL posting an ad selling his 240sx that says "GET THIS THING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY DOES NOT RUN TRADE FOR ANY HONDA THAT RUNS AND GO FAST LOUD" I'm curious, though, which aspects make the VG a dinosaur compared to the VR? I'm especially curious because of the many members here making the same or better power out of the VG that the VR makes out of the box. All I'm insinuating is that an enthusiast doesn't take out a perfectly good engine in return for months of headaches and a mediocre final product due to the fact that many of the essential powertrain pieces were fabricated for the swap. So yes, I think it's stupid to spend money on replacing a perfectly good engine designed for the Z chassis with plenty of available mods with another perfectly good motor designed for something completely different altogether. I think this thought separates the enthusiasts from the "i like go fast" kids or, dare I say it, tt.net vs 3zc.
